Farnam Community Benefit Carnival March 6, 2010 5pm-??
Every year in February or March, Farnam has a Community Carnival sponsored
by the Farnam Lions Club in the High School Gym. The Farnam Carnival has been around for 60+ years starting
as a fundraiser for Polio. Hundreds of people attend every year to help with fundraising and as a day for families
to get out of the house after being cooped up during the winter months. Most activities are for kids with football throws,
ring toss and many more. Bingo has been a long standing tradition at the Carnival as well as the soup and pie supper.
So stop by for soup, sandwiches and pie and play a little bingo while your kids enjoy a fun filled evening!!
Trail of Treasure's June 2010
Started only a few years ago, gradually getting bigger and bigger every year!! This 50+ mile
garage sale extends on HWY 23 from Eustis to Welfleet. The towns in between are Eustis, Farnam, Moorefield, Maywood
and Curtis. All providing miles and miles of garage "sailing" fun!! Just look for the bright colored balloons
and you'll know you've hit the treasure chest!!
Christmas in a Small Town December 2010
The past couple years, Farnam has hosted a new tradition for our families
to attend!! This celebration has activities for the whole family to enjoy!! Businesses stay open a little later
providing hot cider and cookies the minute you walk in the door!! As the evening progresses with warm fire truck rides
to view the Christmas lights displayed in town, door prizes are being won and the Christmas spirit is alive!! Toddlers
and small children are encouraged to attend the Santa Shop to buy gifts for their loved ones for only $1.00!! Booths
are set up for patrons to browse the crafts and trades of local businesses and entrepreneurs. Once the evening starts
to wind down, everyone is invited to the Senior Center for soup, sandwiches and goodies. While eating and visiting with
friends, Santa Claus stops by giving all the little boys and girls a LARGE candy bar!! So don't forget about 'Christmas
in a Small Town' this December 13, 2008 in Farnam Nebraska!!
